A Nuneaton-based complex care provider has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award, recognising success within the sector.

Almond Care, which operates across the UK and has its head office in Nuneaton, has been shortlisted in the Home Care category of the LaingBuisson Awards.

The firm is one of just a handful of firms from across the UK to have made the shortlist, following a rigorous judging process, which has already seen the firm make a detailed written submission.

Almond Care, which is owned and managed by experienced critical care nurse, Julia Senah, provides complex care for adults and children at home, creating bespoke care packages to meet the specific needs of each client.

The firm emphasises the importance of meeting the holistic needs of each client that it works with, enabling them to live as independent and self-determining a life as possible, despite their complex care needs, arising from conditions including traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury (ABI), spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystrophy, as well as long-term ventilation.

Julia Senah, Managing Director at Almond Care, said: “Consistently providing an excellent level of service to each of our clients is immensely important to us.

“We are committed to providing the highest standards of care in a way which allows our clients to live as independently as possible.

“It is wonderful that we have been recognised for this commitment, which is implemented through strategies including the specific recruitment of care teams with the skills needed to care for each client.”

Earlier this year, Almond Care was recognised by the judges at the HealthInvestor Awards with a shortlisting in the Complex Care Provider of the Year category.

The winners of the LaingBuisson Awards 2018 are set to be announced at a glittering ceremony at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on 15 November 2018.
