Almond Care is an award winning, specialist, UK provider of complex care in the home; working with adults and children to support them in leading an independent lifestyle of their choice.

We are specifically recruiting Support Workers in Birmingham, to support a client living in a supported living environment. The role involves supporting a client with emotional and behavioural difficulties who presents behaviours that challenge. You will be working alongside another support worker in the role and will be supported by a clinical team to meet the needs of the client.

Please note this role involves day and night shifts, including weekend work.

Your responsibilities will include being responsible as a member of a team for direct day to day care of the client acting as a positive role model and ensuring their physical, social and emotional needs are being met whilst being flexible, dynamic and engaged in supporting the client.

You will proactively encourage the client to participate in a variety of opportunities that are healthy, meaningful and give them a sense of achievement and builds their self-esteem. This will include supporting them to develop life and independence skills.

You will actively contribute to care plans, share in report writing and monitoring and participate in housekeeping duties and work in a positive, respectful and empowering way with the client in order to promote good relationships and encourage achievement and development.

You will work in line with policies and procedures, CQC Standard Frameworks, and maintain high professional standards at all time.

You will work directly with the client, their family, social workers, and other relevant people where appropriate.
